Male Border Collie 10 Months Old Working Dog in Clay, California For Sale

We are downsizing and have to sell our 10 month old AKC Male Border Collie. He's a great working dog on our property, has a strong genetic herding instinct (as both of his parents are working dogs and he trained along side his parents as a puppy) and has continued to show his natural herding instincts on our property with animals. He absolutely LOVES to play catch (ball, frisbee, etc) and has no problem picking up his ball and putting it in your hand reminding you to play with him, he knows commands, walks on a leash and enjoys water. He is fully crate/kennel trained, house trained, plays and interacts well with our 4 young boys (ranging from toddler to teenager), plays very good with other dogs (even small Yorkies) and our 2 cats. He isn't scared of loud noises (dirt bikes, riding lawn mowers, guns, music, loud kids, etc).
He has beautiful tri-color markings, a soft coat, hasn't been fixed and we have his AKC papers with breeding rights. We will only sell him to a family who is knowledgeable of the Border Collie breed as they are a "working dog." Border Collies are considered to be the smartest dog, thus they need to work to feel appreciated, whether that's helping the family out on the farm or ranch, or someone playing with them, they need to work and feel like they put in a good days work. However, he is fine when we have our down time, as he likes to lay down right beside us in the living room, will relax in his kennel even when the door is open, although he sneaks into the boys beds and sleeps with them at times if his kennel is unlocked or it's the boys inviting him to have a sleepover, however he doesn't whine or whimper to "kennel-up" inside or outside. He's a good family dog, which is hard to find. I strongly believe he would do well with someone who had experience in competition catching / fetching.

Remember he comes with AKC papers and breeding rights. As I write down all of his qualities it saddens me to have to sell him, however with our downsizing, it's unfair to see a strong working dog not fulfill his natural gifts to work..
